During our trip in New Zealand 2011, besides the beautiful Lake Tekapo at the Church of the Good Shepherd, I asked Tania for her hand in marriage. Tania said yes :-)
In how we live in life, we must always honor God and glorify Him. The Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo is the true chapel by the lake. It was built there for the primary purpose of sharing God's gospel and bringing glory to God. It was built by Lake Tekapo where God's amazing and wonderful creations are seen by many everyday.
The proposal there was a reminder of God's glory and that we will always remember and share in God's glory to all whom we meet.

Before the New Zealand trip Jansen had pre-warned me that he would propose very soon. Although he has told me a number of times that he wanted to propose and he knew a time, when he told me it is very soon I was nervous to hear that. Therefore I kept telling him that when he propose I would probably say "please give me more time to consider" - not because I don't want to marry him, but because I wasn't brave enough to accept his proposal.
When Jansen proposed, I was thinking of what to say, at the time I thought it was not good to say "no":-), but then I thought maybe I can say "give me a few more weeks", but I know myself if I said that, a few weeks later I would probably say "give me a few more weeks" again - because of lack of courage:-). It was God Who gave me the courage to say "Yes" :-)
I shared with Jansen later on that it was great that he proposed in the Church of Good Shepherd, because when we share with people especially people that have not accepted God's salvation, God's name can be glorified.
