As with all stories, it started with God. We met in 2010 shifting furniture for Tania's Mum. We met but there were no sparks, our story began the following year.
It was 2011 and the Brisbane floods happened. In among all the tragedy and generosity, we met again. At the start of the year, I was among several friends and colleagues of Tania, helping her with the renovation work of her home at St Lucia. It was on that first day I saw a glimpse of the wonderful and amazing girl. Among all the damage and hardship all around her, Tania was working the hardest without a single complaint. Even with all the reminders of the tragedy which happened, she remained cheerful and even shared the joy of God with those around her. It was her who cheered us all up.
I decided to come back. I kept coming back and couldn't stay away from her. After getting to know each other as friends, we started courtship. Through the entire courtship, we were focused on ensuring that we honored God and each other. Tania was always focused to make sure that our relationship was God's will for us. Marriage is a union of man and wife with God's blessings. And in life, we must always honor God.

I was a bit slow in recognising that Jansen was interested in me. Every time I said I needed to go do something, Jansen would say he would like to tag along. Initially, the practical personality of me thought that was very inefficient - if we do things separately, things will get done faster:-).
One day he suddenly told me his feelings for me and asked me out, I was shocked and unsure of what to say:-). Before we were formally together, I wanted to make sure the guy who asked me out really loves the Lord and I was able to see that the Lord was showing me more and more about Jansen's faith and his love for the Lord. In fact, in many ways Jansen encouraged me to put my trust in God and reminded me to pray often.
It is my prayer that both of us will grow in the Lord together and serve God together.
